Wednesdays are the best. Not only do they mark the half-way point in our work weeks, but they are also the day that I get to meet a new friend from the Humane Society of West Michigan!

This week, I met Jean -- a beautiful three-year-old Lab/Staffordshire Terrier mix who is looking for a good home.

Jean was just the sweetest, most loving dog ever. She has a lot of energy, though. So, she'd do well in a home where she could go for regular walks and run around to burn some of that energy off.

Heather, from the Humane Society of West Michigan, brought Jean into the studios. She has been well taken care of, spayed, vaccinated, micro-chipped, and socialized, and is now ready for adoption.

You can get all the information on Jean and adopting, by visiting the Humane Society's website or by calling them at (616) 453-8900.

Heather also mentioned that the Humane Society of West Michigan has a pet food bank called Kibble Connection. They accept pet food donations for their food bank that people with qualifying lower incomes may use to keep their pet or pets well fed and healthy. They'll accept any kind of pet food as long as it is in the original packaging. They'll even accept partial bags of food as long as the original packaging is still intact.
