Every week, the folks from the Humane Society of West Michigan stop by with a new furry friend to be named as Wendy’s Pet Of The Week. Every week I can’t wait to see who they’ll bring to visit, and this week my new friend came bounding into my office to say hello, jumped up onto my lap, and gave me a big kiss. It was love at first sight.

This week, Nicole from the Humane Society, dropped by with Lola!

Lola is a four-year-old American Stafforshire Terrier mix and is looking for a good home. She's a big, bright, beautiful dog, but Nicole described her as a definite "couch potato". She loves sleeping and cuddling as much as she loves running and playing.

Nicole also talked to me about the 8th annual Healthy Paws For A Healthy Cause Family Fun Run and Walk coming up in a few weeks at the Cascade Hospital for Animals! The race is $20 per person, and you can do either a 4 mile run, OR a 2 mile walk. All of the proceeds from the event benefit the Humane Society of West Michigan.

You can find out more about Lola and the Healthy Paws For A Healthy Cause event on the Humane Society's website, or by calling them at 453-8900!
