Maggie is a gentle giant who is looking for her forever home!

She is a 4-year-old all black, with a little bit of white, Mastiff mix who was transferred to the Humane Society of West Michigan, from another shelter about a week ago. But she's been up for adoption for about a couple months now. She is very friendly, well-behaved and would do great in a family home (with respectful children). Maggie gets along well with other dogs so she would do fine if you have another dog in the home, however, its not recommended if you have a cat.

Maggie tested positive for heartworm and will be treated for this, so her adoption fee requires an additional $100 for six months of treatment. The Humane Society of West Michigan matches the other six months of medication. This should not sway you from adopting this adorable dog because you can still get her at the dog special rate.

You have until the end of the month to get into the humane society if you want to adopt a dog. All adult dogs, 5 months and up, are $100 off which means they have an adoption fee of only $75! Adult cats have their fees waived indefinitely.

But if you're looking for a more non-traditional pet, Hamma Montana, a potbelly pig is still waiting for someone to take her home! Hamma is a pet pig which means she is not a farm animal. She may be a piggy but she will cuddle and lay with you all day. Don't forget to rub her belly ;)
