Every week, the folks from the Humane Society Of West Michigan stop by with a new furry friend for me to name as Wendy's Pet Of The Week.

Today was a first - I met a cat on a leash! His name is Panda, and he decided to go on a little adventure here at the office.

Panda is a 10-year-old black and white cat who is super affectionate and loving, and actually was surrendered to the Humane Society along with his sister Star. The Humane Society would prefer to place the two cats together in the same home. Because of their ages, Panda and Star are part of the Silver Paws program at the Humane Society which means that you can adopt them for free.

Also, right now the Humane Society is having "Feline Frenzy", which means that now through May 31st, you can adopt cats for only $5 and kittens for only $75. AND, all cats and kittens are adopt one, get one free!

The Humane Society is open Tuesday - Friday from 12pm until 7pm and Saturdays from 10:30am until 4pm.

You can find out more about Panda, his sister Star, and all of the other awesome pets at the Humane Society of West Michigan on their website.
