Piper is a small girl with a big heart and would love for you to consider adopting her from the Humane Society of West Michigan.

Piper is a 7-year-old Rottweiler who is small for her breed weighing less than 50 lbs. Because Piper is considered a "senior" she is free to adopt, however, she is heartworm positive which means a $100 fee is required for treatment. But the Humane Society has lowered her adoption fee to $95 (the normal adoption price for adult dogs). It's also required that the adopter purchase 6 months worth of prevention and HSWM will match the other 6 months.

Don't let a heartworm positive dog stop you from adoption. The treatment can be longer but it can be cured. Piper will do wonderfully in many homes, including children as long as their respectful and give her time to adjust. She's a little shy at first but will warm up quickly & you'll see just how loveable she is.

On to my favorite topic... Food! Stop into any of the 6 Chipotle restaurants in the West Michigan area on Thursday 4.12 and just mention the Humane Society of West Michigan because 50% of sales will be donated to the humane society. The following locations will be participating:

  • Grand Rapids (2)
  • Grandville
  • Holland
  • Portage
  • Kalamazoo

Summer camp registration is now open too! You can see the different camps being offered & register here.
