Meet Sissy – Christine’s Pet of the Week!

Sissy, a 2-year-old Chihuahua-Terrier Mix, and is this week's Pet of the Week.

Sissy came to the Humane Society of West Michigan through the PetSmart Charities Rescue Waggin' program. She is a sweet dog who is a little shy at first but opens up once she warms up to you. Currently, she has a kennel mate with her at the shelter which means she gets along great with other dogs.

If you have a child, or another pet, at home you can always bring them into the Humane Society and have them interact with the animals. That way you know what to expect before adopting.

Next Tuesday, May 3rd a fundraiser will be held at Horseshoe Smokehouse in Grand Rapids. From 5-7pm, 50% of the proceeds will go to the Humane Society. Not only will you be helping out the shelter but you'll also be supporting a local business and eating great food!
