This week, Sophie stole some of our hearts and hopefully she will steal yours too. Sophie is a 2 year old American Staffordshire Terrier-Mix and has a beautiful brindle coloring!

She's a special case though because Sophie has been at the Humane Society of West Michigan for 215 days!! She was a transfer from another shelter which means she's spent much of her short life in a shelter and not in a loving home. And with that being said, she needs one! I'm shocked she hasn't been adopted yet because she is such a people-person! Sophie is friendly and loving and I promise will make a perfect addition to your family! Plus she's house-trained! Because she's been at the shelter for so long, her adoption fees are waived. If you do decide to adopt Sophie, just keep in mind she will do best in a home where she is the only dog.

This Friday, the Humane Society is having their Spooktacular event where adult dogs, 1 year and up, are only going to cost $31! That's for one day only, though so don't miss out! Small critters and cats (5 months and up) are still a name your own price special!

Also, a fundraising event will be held this Saturday, October 24th at 9 a.m. FSP Gym in Grand Rapids. Where you get to go workout with a personal trainer and funds will be donated to the Humane Society of West Michigan. For more information you can check out the humane society's Facebook page here.
