Meet Windsor – Christine’s Pet of the Week!

Wow! Talk about a great dog. Windsor is a 1-year-old American Terrier Staffordshire Mix and is the definition of a happy dog. He has only been at the Humane Society of West Michigan for a few weeks but I don't anticipate him being there too long.

Windsor has his tail wagging and a smile on his face the entire time and because he still has puppy in him, he is super playful. Even more of a bonus, he loves people and gets along well with other dogs. He'll be the perfect fit in any type of family or situation but if you do have pets or children at home bring them into the humane society so you can have everyone meet each other.

There's no do doubt in my mind that Windsor will be adopted fairly quickly. Here he is with my boss - it was love at first sight.

Some important tips to keep in mind this upcoming Labor Day weekend if you have pets at home and how to keep them safe:

• Keep them on a secure leash and/or in a yard
• Make sure microchips and tags are up-to-date just in case they become loose/get lost.
• Provide your pet with a safe place indoors if they're afraid of fireworks and drown out the noise for them.
