Well,  Newsweek may have called Grand Rapids a dying city, but it seems that Men's Journal disagrees with them.

As part of the annual Best Places to Live feature, Men's Journal selected Grand Rapids as the Best Place to Take a Chance on a Crazy Idea, citing its support of start-ups and creativity.

In addition to our support of all things creative, we were praised for being eco-friendly as well as having an abundant amount of walkable areas.

The editors chose 18 towns that they believe have mastered the art of living well in the 21st century by prioritizing localism, sustainability and conservation, according to a news release. They also took into account other factors, like cost of living and the number of sunny days per year (though I feel like those have been at a minimum so far this year).

The article can be found in the April issue of the magazine, which hits newsstands Friday.
