UPDATE (3:30PM): Hayley Turner, has been found safe on the porch of a house in Ecorse.

A search is currently underway for a missing 18-year-old woman who police say told a friend a man with a gun was following her at around 10 p.m. on Thursday.

The Monroe County Sheriff's Office said Friday morning that Hayley Turner was last heard from at the area of Dean Road and Crabb Road, east of Temperance and a few miles north of the Ohio border.She was talking on the phone with a friend when she stopped at the intersection to check on a person she said she saw lying on the side of the road, according to the sheriff's office.

While speaking to her friend, Turner said that an unknown man with a gun was following her, officials said. Shortly thereafter, her car was found unoccupied and idling on Dean Road east of the intersection.

A neighbor told deputies a sedan with its parking lights on was seen nearby, parked along Dean Road at Crabb. One of the running lights wasn't working, the sheriff's office was told.

Turner is white, 5 feet tall, 130 pounds and has brown eyes and long brown hair just below the shoulders. She was last seen wearing black yoga pants and an orange T-shirt.
