Monday Is Your Last Day To Register To Vote In MI Primaries 8/7

The ads are already running for the elections, but did you realize the first election for 2018 is happening August 7^th?  The State Primaries happen August 7th, that's where we narrow down the candidates for Governor, Senate, and House.

That means you need to be registered so you can vote, and according to WZZM13, you have until the end of the day, Monday to get that done.

WZZM13 reports Secretary of State Ruth Johnson said in a news release:

"I encourage everyone eligible to register to vote and then cast your ballot on Election Day.”

 

"You have an incredible opportunity to make your voice heard on federal, state and local leadership, but you must be registered first."

According to the Michigan Voter Website, 3,377,472 were registered to vote in Michigan as of July 7, 2018.

To register to vote, you have to be at least 18 years old by election day and a U.S. Citizen, and you must be a resident of the city or township in which you register.  You can register by going to the Secretary Of State’s Office, your city, township or county clerk’s office or you can send in your registration by mail.
