Outside of Michigan, most people don’t associate stuffing a “Blue Goose” with Christmas, but here in the mitten state, we know that means the holidays are almost here.

WZZM13 reports that MSP held their annual “Stuff the Blue Goose for Christmas” in Kent and Ottawa Counties Sunday afternoon. In case you didn’t realize, that’s what Michigan State Police call their cars, the “Blue Goose”.

State police officers parked patrol cars at the Walmart in Grand Haven and one at the Walmart in Wyoming and collected toys, clothing and non-perishable food for kids and families in time for Christmas.

According to WZZM13, MSP will turn over all the donations collected to the Salvation Army for them to distribute to those in need.
