So, you've started a new job. Well, though you may be beyond excited that you got a job. It's really important to negotiate your starting salary. Here's why:

Now, this doesn't mean that you have to go in and demand a whole lot more money. If you're offered a job at around 40-50K asking for only about 5 thousand more is enough to make you that much more money over a life time.
