A new escape room is set to open in downtown Grand Rapids this fall.

NAI Wisinski of West Michigan has announced that The Ruse Escape Rooms will open on the first floor at 25 South Division Ave. The space is 3,446 square feet and the location is currently being renovated.

Escape rooms are interactive puzzles where groups of people are locked in a room, typically for 60 minutes, and are tasked with finding clues to help them escape. Most escape rooms have a success rate of under 50 percent.

It seems escape rooms also provide a good opportunity for marriage proposals, although that could turn awkward quickly if she says no and you're trapped with no way out.

West Michigan-area fans of escape rooms can currently find other places to put their claustrophobia to the test including The Great Escape Room at 233 East Fulton in Grand Rapids and Escape Michigan at 2070 Waldorf NW in Grand Rapids.
