New Music Festival Coming To Muskegon [VIDEO]

Muskegon Summer Celebration is no more, but details about a new Muskegon music festival are coming together.

It's still very early in the planning stages, but the dates are set:  June 29 - July 8.

WZZM gives us more details:

The next step is the formation of a not-for-profit festival board in January. The 13-member board is expected to contract with a for-profit entity that would be responsible for booking entertainment.

The new festival board is not expected to include members from the board that controlled the now defunct Summer Celebration.

We are far-off from knowing who will be performing at the yet-to-be-named music festival, but I have to think Kid Rock is on the short list.  He would be both a huge draw and a perfect fit for the venue.
