New Smartphone Sex Stats
According to a new survey, your choice of smart phone says a lot about your sex life. Match.com polled more than 1,000 singles and found, among other things, that Android users are more likely to hook up on the first date and partake in one night stands. What do think about that, Android users?!
"Thanks to social networking and online dating, our love lives and our digital lives have never been more intertwined," said Match.com in a release about their survey.
Here are more of Match's findings:
Say yes to having sex on a first date...
Android users: 62 percent
iPhone users: 57 percent
BlackBerry users: 48 percent
Totally OK with one night stands...
Android: 55 percent
iPhone: 50 percent
Blackberry: 47.6 percent
Active online daters...
Android:72 percent
iPhone: 58 percent
BlackBerry: 50 percent
Most likely to date a co-worker...
iPhone: 25 percent
Most likely to consume alcohol on the first date...
BlackBerry: 72 percent
Overall, 75% of those polled think that email and texting have significantly improved their dating life.
Hmmm. I wonder what it says about your sex life if you don't have a smartphone, or --gasp!-- what if you don't have a cell phone at all? It'd be interesting to see if back in the day there was a study entitled "What your pager says about your sex life."
