Police Officer Helps Deer Stuck In The Fence

It’s stuff like this that people don’t think of when they think of police officers.

On Wednesday, a Harbor Springs Police Officer noticed a fawn stuck in the fence along one of the roadways. So he stopped and assisted the deer; fortunately he was wearing a bodycam so we could witness this odd rescue.  He asked the same question I would have asked as well, “You’re not going to kick me are you?”   Fortunately for the officer, Bambi didn’t kick him and after the deer was freed, it ran off into the wood.

For a city with only 1,200 residents, the video has already been viewed over thirty two thousand times, with plenty of comments thanking the officer for saving the deer.
