Things I learned on facebook today-- April is "Michigan Wine Month", as so declared by Governor Rick Snyder. The idea is to honor Michigan's wide selection of quality wines and the wine industry's significant contribution to the economy. So, let's pop a cork and celebrate!

In the Governor's official proclamation, he notes that Michigan's vineyards and wineries are a key component to our state's tourism and agricultural industries, contributing $790 to Michigan's economy each year.

He encourages "adult residents and tourists in Michigan to visit the wineries of our great state and enjoy a glass of Pure Michigan- made wine."

I will totally cheers to that, Mr. Governor.
