Who knew the 29th President of the United States had such a way with words?

Why is it history is so much more interesting now than it ever was in school? I don't remember ever learning that President Harding had a mistress!

In fairness, he ended his affair with the married Carrie Fulton Phillips prior to holding office as the President of the United States.

Imagine getting this love letter:

"My Darling...there are no words, at my command, sufficient to say the full extent of my love for you - a mad, tender, devoted, ardent, eager, passion-wild, jealous...hungry...love..."

Dang Mr. Lady's Man! I need letter writing lessons from this guy!

So why now? Well, Harding wanted Carrie Fulton Phillips to burn these letters, some 30 pages long, but she didn't. They've been held at The Library of Congress for the last 50 years, under a court order that they be sealed.

They're schedule to be open to the public through the internet on July 29th.

See, there was no privacy, even before Facebook!
