Yesterday (Nov 27th) in a very rare and interesting way the city went through an entire day without anyone being shot, stabbed, or murdered. People who worked with the NYPD for many years could not remember the last day that they had finished the night without some kind of violent crime happening. Stats say that the least likely year that it could have happened was in 1990 when the murder rate was over 2,000 that year. This year is a good one for New York who will probably finish the year at around 400.
