Rob Experiences “Tuesday Swing” with the Grand Rapids Original Swing Society

Last night I came upon something really cool; and just steps from our building.  As I was leaving work I saw a group of people walking over to Rosa Parks Circle, so I followed them and that’s where I came upon this:

And then learned that every Tuesday night during the Spring and Summer, The Grand Rapids Original Swing Society meet and they swing dance! I also learned they hold “The Guinness Book’s Largest Swing Dance in the World” title.   It was really cool watching everyone have such a good time, right downtown.  Some people were expert ‘Dancing With The Stars’ level and some were just learning, some were young and some were old, but everyone was smiling and just enjoying a great night together and downtown.   I’m so glad I came across this, and look forward to finding more of these gems as I #ExperienceGrandRapids (yes, I talk in hashtags in real life, sometimes.)
