A lot of people sell and buy things online these days but that always comes with a risk when meeting face-to-face.

South Haven Police have come up with a great idea for safe parking spots called "E-Commerce Exchange" that are reserved spaces in the parking lot of the police department. Pictures of the spots were shared on their Facebook page last week.

The spaces will be available 24/7 and the parking lot is under 24-hour surveillance, which gives people an extra peace of mind when meeting.

With a quick Google search, I found that other police departments around the country have adopted this; several in Michigan. You can see a list of safe trading stations here.
