There's now a video from this morning’s shooting at the baseball park in Alexandria, Va where Rep. Steve Scalise, the House majority whip, was shot, among others. T

The lawmaker along with others was practicing for a charity baseball game, that was scheduled to happen later in the week against their Democratic counterparts.

The video was first published on YouTube by Storyful News and shows the almost 5 minutes of scariness.

Warning, the video contains profanity and is quite dramatic… watch at your own discretion.  It doesn’t show anyone actually getting hit by the gunfire, although Rep. Scalise, a congressional staffer, a Capitol Police officer and Michigan native, lobbyist Matt Mika, were all injured by the gunman.

It starts off with a few gun shots and then you hear a lot more as police are able to return fire.  Fortunately Rep Scalise still had his Capitol Police security detail with him, because they were able to stop the 66-year-old shooter before more people were injured or killed.

"Prior to entering surgery, the Whip was in good spirits and spoke to his wife by phone," his office said in a statement. "He is grateful for the brave actions of U.S. Capitol Police, first responders, and colleagues. We ask that you keep the Whip and others harmed in this incident in your thoughts and prayers."

You always think when you hear about these stories, and they say police were on the scene, that it was probably over really quick, but that is the longest 5 minutes ever, especially when you hear a bullet whiz past the guy who was filming.

So glad more people weren't hurt and thought
