We're not ones to generally post about missing animals (not that we don't love pets, but if we posted about all of the missing animals we heard about, that's all this website would be), but this story really struck a nerve. The search is on in Muskegon for an airman's missing two-year-old Rottweiler, Midas.

Midas, belongs to a West Michigan Airman serving in Afghanistan. His dog escaped from the home in Norton Shores Wednesday evening or early Thursday morning.

The woman watching Midas says so far she's done everything she can think of to find him.

Midas should have on a bright orange collar and could have gone to a place he knows well, Lake Harbor Park.

If you see Midas, call Charlee at (616) 550-9632.

Our friends from WZZM talked to the woman watching Midas.
