Should GRCC Students Pay A $100 Per Semester Facilities Fee? – Poll Of The Day

On May 8th voters rejected a $98.6 million millage proposal from Grand Rapids Community College.  The vote was 57% "no".

The proposed millage would have upgraded technology and renovated buildings at GRCC.  Now GRCC is requiring students to pay a $100 per semester "facilities fee".  Is the new fee fair to students?

Full-time students will pay a $100 facility fee per semester.  Part-time students will pay a $60 facility fee per semester.  Money raised by the fee will be kept in a seperate fund and can only be used for maintenance and repairs.

Is the new $100 per semester fee the best solution?
