It was a big day for West Michigan high school football!

Both Grand Rapids South Christian and Muskegon played in championship games at Ford Field.

South Christian beat Detroit Country Day to take the Division 4 title!  Muskegon came up short losing to Birmingham Brother Rice in Division 2.

South Christian's game was close until they broke it open in the third quarter.  Then, they built on that lead in the fourth quarter as they beat Detroit Country Day, 40-7.

Muskegon's game featured a very exciting final quarter.  The teams scored a combined total of 35 points in the fourth quarter, but Muskegon came up just short losing to Birmingham Brother Rice, 35 - 28.  Read more about Muskegon's game from WZZM. 

Congratulations to South Christian on their second football championship in school history and congratulations to Muskegon on an amazing season!
