Hi, I’m Steve and I’m a new Dad who has learned a lot of things over the last several months and I want to pass along some knowledge to you!

Each week I will be giving you some new tips for first-time parents and one spectacular Dad joke!  So let's get to the tips!

  1. Today’s first tip has to do with your baby’s first trip to the beach, the pool, our in Baby Charlotte’s case, the kiddie pool we just filled with hose water in the backyard.  After almost 2 hours of inflating the pool by mouth and filling it up with water, Charlotte hated being in the pool! So my tip is to make sure that the water is warm enough for your baby to enjoy.  You want a water temperature somewhere between the mid-80s and low-90s. So next time we set up the pool, we’ll take my advice and let it warm up for most of the day so she can actually enjoy it!
  2. The next tip is for parents with babies that just started to roll from back to tummy.  It won’t be long after that first roll, that they can roll clear across the room. In just a few weeks of Charlotte being able to roll, she can roll herself from one side of the room to the other.  So be sure to keep an eye on your rolling baby at all times because you could look away for just one second and all of a sudden she’s under the table.
  3. The final tip is to be noisy when your baby is sleeping!  Say whaaaaaaaaaat!? You heard that right! When your baby falls asleep, don’t turn that TV down, don’t stop vacuuming, and don’t stop playing your Daddy Jamz!  I’m not saying that you should go and be noisy just because your baby is asleep, but if you deliberately keep the same level of noise, your baby will get used to it.  It’s much easier to do housework when your baby doesn’t wake up because your vacuuming or clanging around dishes.

And now it's time for the quality Dad joke...

Q: What do you call someone with no body and no nose?
