Nominations for the American Music Awards were announced today, and British singer Adele leads the pack with four nominations, including Artist of the Year and Favorite Female Artist. Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Lil Wayne and country group The Band Perry were right behind Adele with three nods apiece. Perry will perform on the show, as will Pitbull.

Adele, Katy — it's up to you. Since 2007, the Video of the Year category at MTV's Video Music Awards has been swept by the female set, with Rihanna, Britney Spears, Beyonce and Lady Gaga taking the top honor over the past four years. But, who knows ...

Pop sensation Justin Bieber was just one of many famous faces to make TIME magazine's annual 100 List, honoring the most influential people in the world. Each entry includes an essay written by another famous face. In Bieber's case, it was Usher.
