Ozone levels within seven West Michigan counties are expected to be in the "unhealthy for sensitive groups" range according to the National Weather Service.

The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy has declared an Action Day for elevated levels of ozone Saturday, June 5 and Sunday, June 6.

Summer isn’t even here yet, but tomorrow, Friday, May 27, 2018 is West Michigan's second Clean Air Action Day of the year!

It will be our first Clean Air Action Day of 2020 on Thursday, June 18th, for Allegan, Berrien, Cass, Kent, Muskegon, Oceana, Ottawa, Mason, and Van Buren counties. What can you do to keep our air clean?

People and businesses are encouraged to avoid activities that can lead to ozone formation, such as refueling vehicles, using gas-powered lawn equipment, and using charcoal lighter fluid.
