Now I get it ... and today we celebrate the life and accomplishments of former vice presidential candidate and congresswoman Geraldine Ferraro.

In an act that many politicians are publicly speaking out about tonight, Representative Gabrielle Giffords, a Democrat from Arizona was gunned down along with at least 17 other people.  Giffords underwent surgery and is now in critical condition.
