Wanted to make sure you're aware of the voluntary recall from Spartan Stores, Family Fare and D&W Fresh Markets. The recall is PRECAUTIONARY because of concerns about listeria contamination.  It's important to tell you that NO products have been identified as having the virus, nor have any illnesses been reported.

The YMCA officially broke ground on their new facility in May of 2010.  Now the Spartan Stores YMCA at Metro Health Village is set to open on Monday.  There will be a public open house on Saturday.

Yesterday we received the shocking news that Perkins had suddenly closed all 7 of its West Michigan restaurants.  Perkins is filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and closed 58 total restaurants. Monday brings us good news about jobs in West Michigan. Spartan Stores YMCA in Wyoming is holding a job fair Monday, June 20, from 2p - 7p.  The job fair will take place at Hyatt Place, 2150 Metro Lane. Read M
