WZZM is reporting that a man was shot early this morning (Saturday) in the Kentwood area. The incident happened around 4:30 a.m. near an apartment complex by Forest Creek Court. A man is currently in serious condition after being hit in the leg and in the head. Officers say he was shot by his girlfriend's ex-boyfriend following a dispute.

Both directions of I-94 are closed between Kalamazoo and Battle Creek because of a multi-vehicle crash involving semi-trucks. The interstate is closed between Galesburg and Climax, WZZM-13, Michigan State Police and the Michigan Department of Transportation report.

The weekend brought us plenty of rain, enough to melt away all the snow. WZZM 13 reports that more snow is on the way. A Winter Weather Advisory goes into effect this afternoon around 4 p.m. for Kent, Ottawa, Muskegon, Newaygo, Montcalm, Mecosta, Oceana, Mason and Lake Counties.

Several emergency crews are being dispatched to a hazardous-materials situation on Grand Rapids' west side. Public safety scanner traffic indicates a chlorine spill or leak at Haviland in the 400 block of Ann Street NW.

Slocum's soon-to-be born baby also died. Brady Oestrike, the suspect in the murders, took his own life on Thursday (July 17) after a chase with police.
