Well, this is the best thing I will watch today. It's a short documentary made by a high school student in 1984, that consists of interviews with high schoolers from Antioch, California about fashion.

He starts out the video by asking everyone a question: "Just exactly what is fashion?" The teenage interviewees answer in a variety of ways, ranging from, "What the public eye likes to look at, in the way of clothing," to "what you wanna be and how you wanna be and what people you wanna be with." The students also touch on subjects such as hairstyles, parents, and what can only be described as pretty severe bullying (getting food thrown at them, etc.)

(Notice how none of these people are dressed like anyone you ever see at an 80's party...)
