Next up on my list of Michigan Horror Movies for Halloween is the third installment of The Butterfly Effect. Subtitled "Revelations", this movies seems a bit more straightforward than the original, where every time Ashton Kutcher goes back in time, his life gets more and more screwed up. This time, a different guy goes back, and seems to have his s*** together a bit better.

Okay, not really, there has to be some kind of conflict, right?

This dude, Sam, uses his power to travel back and witness crimes, and then come back and tell the cops who did it. This way the cops catch bad guys, close cases, and Sam gets a paycheck.

Until the day Liz walks in his door, and reminds him of his girlfriend's murder. Wait... you FORGOT your girlfriend that you loved was brutally murdered, and missed that the guy in prison for it was about to be executed?

Okay, not the best plot in the world, but hey, what are you going to do?

So, Sam decides to go back and find out what happened, to find the real killer...oh, and incidentally, changes everything. Because of course he does.

This leads to the creation of a serial killer! Wait, what? That's all I'm going to tell you.

This movie takes place in Detroit, so if you know the town better than I do (which could mean almost anyone), then you'll probably recognize parts of town as Sam wanders around, screwing up lives more and more.

Not a horrible movie... go check it out!
