Shoe-brand Converse announced the other day that after almost a hundred years they are revamping the famous Chuck Taylor's and calling them "The Converse Chuck II."

The originals were debuted in 1917 and these new ones will hit shelves Tuesday, July 28. Although the shoe pretty much looks the same the Chuck II's will be more comfortable (something people complained about with the originals) because it now integrates technology from Nike, including the Lunarlon which adds arch support and more cushioning. According to Converse, the shoe will also include a padded non-slip tongue. Which I might add is the MOST annoying thing about my Chuck's right now... I'm constantly pulling the tongue back in place. Suede lining will also run through the inside of the shoe for even extra comfort.

The Chuck II's will be available in four colors: black, white, red, and blue and will cost $75 for the high-tops and $70 for the lows.

You can check out a 3D view of the new shoe on Converse's website here.

These shoes are a classic. Will you buy the updated ones? I yet to decide. I'm pretty satisfied with my all-black Chuck Tay's for now.
