The city of Grand Rapids is expected to lose around 300 employees to retirement in the next three years.  There will be a wide variety of job opportunities available.  Among these jobs are snow plow drivers to those who fix them.

Some of these jobs will be entry level, whereas others will require advanced degrees.  These jobs include electricians, mechanics, chemists and lab tech people.  The city is reaching out to neighborhoods in search of homegrown talent.

There will be a job fair held at Cesar E. Chavez Elementary School on Grandville Avenue SW, Tuesday, Feb. 28 from 5:30 p.m. -7:30 p.m.  Read here for more information and to see what other jobs are available.
