We here in West Michigan have been dealing with the crippling effects of the snow and cold that moved in across the area over the weekend.

But at least we here in the Midwest are accustomed to dealing with such conditions.

People and authorities in Atlanta, however, are not accustomed to dealing with such things.

Two inches of snow fell in Atlanta on Tuesday, and left thousands of motorists stranded on roads and children stranded in their schools with no way to get home overnight.

While this is a terrible situation that many in Atlanta are still dealing with, it has brought out the best in some people and restored my faith in humanity.

The Facebook page SnowedOutAtlanta features hundreds of folks from Atlanta reaching out to others stranded in the storm offering them food, shelter, and help contacting their loved ones who are (understandably) worried about them.

Here are a few of my favorite posts on the page.
