For the first time ever, the Detroit Tigers will host an LGBT Pride Night at Comerica Park, according to The Detroit News.

The Pride Night will be held Wednesday, June 3, when the team plays the Oakland A's.

Later that same month, the A's will be hosting their first ever Pride Night. When that was announced last month, some season ticket-holders complained. In response Eireann Dolan, the girlfriend of A's reliever Sean Doolittle, offered to buy any unwanted tickets and donate them to a Bay Area LGBT youth center.

The LGBT Night is not yet listed on the Tigers' website.

The Tigers' LGBT night is co-sponsored by the Detroit Regional LGBT Chamber of Commerce.

Tickets to the Tigers' June 3 game will be available for purchase through the Detroit Regional LGBT Chamber and Commerce and the Tigers.

The LGBT Pride game will coincide with Motor City Pride, which will be held June 6 and 7 at Hart Plaza in Detroit.
