Last week, the FBI released information that violent crime had dropped four percent in 2011. Good news, right? Well, not if you live in either of the Michigan cities topping the list of "Most Dangerous Cities in America".

Flint and Detroit rank 1st and 2nd in the report.

According to the FBI, no city with a population over 100,000 in the entire country had a higher rate of violent crime than Flint. In 2011, there were 2,400 reports of violent crime within the city. That number is staggering when you take into account the fact that there were only 1,300 total reports of violent crimes in the 10 safest cities in the country combined.

Detroit had an 11 percent increase in homicides from 2010 to 2011. It ranked fourth in robberies and second in the nation for aggravated assault.
