Valentine’s Day in the Pen

With Valentines Day past, you probably did the obligatory dinner, flowers, chocolate and so so on.

If you're an unconventional thinker, here's an idea for next year.

Eastern State Penitentiary is a former prison in Philadelphia.  They give tours year-round, just like any tourist attraction, hosting first dates, proposals and even some weddings.

Each year, they run a contest on their website and Facebook page where visitors are asked to share their love stories for a chance to win a romantic candlelit dinner in one of the cellblocks.

They say:
"Throughout Eastern State’s 142-year history, there are many love stories to be told – inmates who fell in love while incarcerated together, wardens who met their wives while working at Eastern State, and even romantic stories of couples who kept their love alive while one was inside the walls."

This is odd enough that I just might like it!
