Virginia Church Conducts Nude Services
Well ... I ... I don't really even know what to say about this whole situation. So, I'm just going to give you the facts and let you decide what needs to be said.
There's a church in Central Virginia where all of the services are conducted by a nude minister who also encourages his congregation to attend nude.
Not even a fig leaf, man?
Even at this time of year, when it's freezing cold, members of White Tail Chapel show up in various states of undress - some fully clothed, others topless, many completely nude.
The church's pastor, Allen Parker, says it's about baring his soul to Christ and leading his flock down that path of righteousness, no matter what they're wearing.
Katie and Robert church attend every Sunday and make sure to sit in the front row. Katie wasn't a nudist when she and Robert met, but she quickly fell in love with both Robert and the resort where the church is located. They married in the church and say it's given them a sense of Christian community.
Now, you're probably thinking that this leads to a bunch of pervy weirdos attending the church, but Pastor Parker says that you're wrong:
There's not a feeling that you have to be better than one another, physically. We're humans, we have scars, we have what we have. … It's learning to love and accept that.
I have to admit that I'm pretty sure that I would be completely distracted sitting in a pew with a bunch of naked folks, but to each their own.
