In what I have to assume is a secret, evil plan by my boss to turn me into some sort of animal hoarder, each week, I meet with the wonderful people from Humane Society of West Michigan to meet a "Pet Of The Week". This week, I got to meet to ever-so-friendly Albus, a one-year-old pit bull/lab mix. He rained kisses on me the second that I walked in the door, and it was almost impossible to get a picture, as he just kept wanting to roll over so that I could rub his belly!Albus was surrendered to the Humane Society by his owner because they simply didn't have enough time to devote to him. Albus would make a great family pet, and already knows how to sit, stay, and shake!

If you're interested in adopting Albus, or any of the other pets at the Humane Society of West Michigan, you can get more information on their website.

Jen also mentioned their low-income vaccination clinic that they will be holding this Sunday.  For a small fee, people with a limited income can bring their dog or cat the the Humane Society Sunday from 10am to 2pm and have them vaccinated. You must bring along proof of low-income status (such as a Bridge Card or proof of unemployment).  It’s all on their website.  You can also call 616-453-8900.
