I will never claim to be a domestic goddess. Why? Because I'm not a liar. Betty Crocker, I am not. Susie Homemaker? If she was a real person, I would be her total polar opposite. This is going to prove to be a problem next week.

My boyfriend, the man who cooks me dinner nearly every night (unless I pick up a pizza on my way home from work), will be out of town on business for four days. What am I going to eat?!? How will I live?!? (I actually asked him both of those questions.) I have condiments! And pickles!

Let's take quick stock of the things that I know how to make: bowls of cereal, microwavable soup, microwavable anything else, and sandwiches. So, I guess I have those options, but I have to wonder how hard it would be for me to expand my culinary portfolio to things like mac and cheese, chicken nuggets, and eventually, some sort of meal with vegetables in it.

I've been searching the Internet high and low for simple recipes that I should be able to make. Because, really, how sad would it be if, at 30-years-old, I lived off of ramen noodles and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for four days? And I think I may have stumbled across some thing that I should be able to make without screwing them up or burning the house down.

Or, I guess, I could order out. Or, you know, eat those pickles.

But, I may still need some help. What are some quick, simple recipes that you use?
