Another "indie" band that hit the mainstream radio airwaves this year is Imagine Dragons. This band, formed in 2008, made its way up through the ranks by playing in several battle of the bands competitions before finally being signed to a record label. This year, they released the single "It's Time", and it quickly won me over, earning it the number 6 spot on my list of the Top 10 Songs of 2012

The video looks like it should accompany some sort of death metal song about violence and sadness, but no. It's just a weird video accompanying a phenomenal song (this seems to be a trend in music this year).
