Nicole Kidman recently said in an interview that her parent's wanted her to be a nun, and that made Connie remember that her dad used to tell her that too.  So that led us to today's #TQOTD!

TEXT QUESTION OF THE DAY:
What did your parents want you to be when you grew up?

  • My dad said girls should get married to a guy with good credit and have babies that's all girls are good for. Bastard, I proved him wrong I became a successful corporate officer with only 1 child happily divorced and living life. He's now dead and the world is better off for it. Monica
  • Professional MMA fighter
  • My parents never really said. They did encourage me to take classes. So I did and now I'm in the medical field.
  • Both of my parents wanted me to be a nurse. I finished one year of college and I just couldn't do it. I hated it so much. So that kinda threw me. That was always the plan so at 24 I'm still trying to figure out what I'm going to do with my life.
  • My mom thought I was going to be a prison warden because I was so bossy. Ended up becoming a lawyer.
  • TQOTD...I love animals and have so much since I was a kid I am pretty sure my parents thought I would have worked in some way with animals. A Vet, a vet tech or something that I was hands-on with animals all day long!
  • My mom wanted me to do something with teaching music. My dad thought I would do something in signing or acting and his words" because I'm dramatic" lol
  • My parents always thought I would be an Olympic swimmer. I was seriously awesome as a little child. But then Junior high came and I didn't want to compete anymore.
  • My parents said I didn't have the patience to be a teacher but really thought I'd be a doctor. Well I failed math so now I am an ESL teacher
  • Tqotd: my mom wanted me to be an Olympic ice skater so she enrolled me in dance when I was 5 so that I could then switch to skating. I came out if my first dance class and told her I was going to be a dancer and would never skate. I was in a ballet company for almost 20 years... She still reminds me I could have had a gold medal...
  • TQOTD: My parents didn't care what I grew up to do. As long as I was happy, could put a roof over my head, and by food for myself.
  • My parents wanted me to be a model. That didn't happen and now I'm ugly
  • My parents and their friends said for sure I was gonna own a business and be in sales. I used to get the donuts every night that the local gas station was throwing out then sell them at school the next day for 50cents and I even brought a griddle on the school trip to Disney world and sold grill cheese out of my room. I'm now in Data entrylol
