With Halloween just over a week away, people are stocking up on the sweets.

The website, Influenster, decided to take a national survey and find out, state by state, what ranked the top candy, including chocolate. 40,000 people were surveyed to find out their sweet desires

I can't say I'm too surprised but  Reese's Peanut Butter Cups was the most popular candy overall because it had the highest total number of votes. It was voted one of the top candies in every single state.

BUT what I am surprised is that the "candy of choice" for Halloween is Candy Corn. Only because I know a lot of people who really dislike it. Candy Corn was chosen by the most states (Oregon, Wyoming, Tennessee, Texas, and South Carolina).

Where would your vote go to? Do you agree with the rest of Michiganders who chose M&M's as their favorite Halloween candy? I love M&M's but, personally, I'm having a hard time deciding between Kit-Kat & Twix as my top choice. Regardless, it will always be chocolate :) M&M's were also chosen as the favorite in Oklahoma.
