We were talking about summer jobs when were kids and each of us had a pretty crappy one at some point in our lives.  And since it is summer time and all the kids are working those jobs that most adults don't want to do, we wanted to know what your worst summer job was!

TEXT QUESTION OF THE DAY:
What was your worst summer job???

  • #TQOTD I worked for minimum wage at a cheese chalet when I was 15. I constantly dealt with jokes of cutting the cheese.
  • Recycling pop bottles, you had to take them out of bags and put them on a conveyor belt. All the sticky pop would ball over you and you'd smell when ya went home... Fricken gross, #hotstickysmellybiotch
  • picking blueberries had a belly ache all summer
  • Amusement Park
  • My worst summer job was painting fire hydrants for the county. Ruined my car with yellow paint so I decided to spray paint the rims neon orange.
  • Worst summer job... Picking weeds in an onion field
  • Throwing bales of hay on a farm for 5.25 an hour, itchy hot and not much money!
  • TQOTD....hotel breakfast attendant. People are froggin slobs and so rude!
  • Smelling like fake eggs and coffee, working in that hot nasty little kitchen and getting off my shift and it was like 1000 degrees outside. Ugh 😑
  • I worked for a gastroenterologist office and had to file pictures of peoples colons from their colonoscopies
  • Lifeguarding at an amusement park... SO MUCH PEE!!
  • Picking produce on a farm. At least it taught me hard work and appreciating people doing the simplest jobs
  • I worked for Pizza Hut and I literally had no name after two months instead of being called by my full name it was "phone girl"
  • I was a day camp counselor for the YMCA back near my house on the east side. It was a fun time and I liked the other counselors, but it wasn't fun when kids threw up on me in the pool during pool time. That made it the worst summer job I've ever had!
  • My one job with death and really picking blueberries for 30 cents a pound. I made $26 after 4 days of work. Needless to say, I quit on day 5
  • Build A Bear Workshop. The kids weren't that bad. The rude parents who never got to experience it as a child were assholes. I never worked retail again.
  • Shoveling rotten potatoes out of a potato building and the smell was unreal
  • Cleaning up a cockroach infested house after renters moved out. I had nightmares is that they were crawling all over me. I was 13 years old and I am now 45 and I still think about it. I only made 10 an hr
  • When I was in 4th or 5th grade, my sibs and I worked for a couple neighboring farmers picking rocks out of plowed fields. I think we earned 25 each for about 4 hrs work. It was hot and dirty!
  • Worst job was during Xmas break. I worked at Honey Baked Hams. Went in at dark. Got home at dark. And Diego with the teardrop tattoo under his eye kept eyeballing me. Thought I was going to die every day
  • Worst summer job.... 8hours standing in various grocery stores in West Michigan giving samples of a new up and coming natural juice line..."try this 100 % carrot juice is fantastic!! 😬
  • Tqotd: mine is about my father... when he was 9 (1960s) he would pick blueberries for the summer.. he still to this day talks about how much he hated it and will never eat another one. He says the sight of them makes him wanna puke! Off topic, I love you guys!! Seriously look forward to your show every morning!! You always make my day:)
  • Corn detasseling. The corn is nasty wet and covered in bugs in the morning then once it gets hot and the corn drys and you get corn rash and it cuts your arms and legs and cuts your hands up
  • I'm speaking for my daughter who worked at a local seafood place and had to assemble shrimp kabobs for local stores. She would talk about when it was her turn to go out to the dumpster in the sweltering summer heat and the smell was beyond nasty. She had to wear rubber boots to work and even though she rinsed them off and left them in the garage, they smelled like fish and we threw them away when she was done with that job!
  • After listening to all these worst summer jobs ever, for the first time I am thankful my parents would not allow me to have one.
  • Worst summer job...doing laundry at a convalescent home.... bibs and poopy adult diapers
  • Good morning my beautiful people!!! 😀
  • You will love this one. This was a job that I worked at for a couple yrs...not just a summer job. I was secretary to the President of a company. This guy was a sperm donor and got his jug at the office and used to take care of business in his office with the door shut. He always got phone calls from those people he was waiting for days to hear from when he decided to take on this task that required his undivided attention. I used to pray that the phone wouldn't ring when he closed the door, but it always did!!! Imagine how awkward this was!!! LOL!!!! 😀
  • My worst summer job was fixing railroad tracks. When they became misaligned, it was my responsibility to re-align the metal rails. This was hard work, very intense, but the money was good.
  • I was a telemarketer in the things that people would say to a sixteen-year-old over the phone or unbelievable
  • A hotdog stand. I was right next to a lake in my hometown which acted like a mirror against my skin. Nevertheless, I was more burnt than I ever have been in my entire life. Then I got fired because a coworker said I was stealing out of the tip jar
  • Honestly working at a family restaurant in my hometown was way worse than working as a care provider now.
  • It was detasseling corn at 4:30 in the morning walking thru the fields with mud and morning dew all over you. Also tons of mosquitoes and bugs everywhere.
  • My 1st summer job was at McDonald's hosting the birthday parties. The kids were ok, but the parents weren't the best caliber... Imagine who would spring for $1.99 a kid (this was in 1995) for their child's birthday party. Overall, not a bad deal, though. Choice of choc. or vanilla cake, play 3 games, and all get happy meals with a take-home toy/cookies bag.
  • Landfill! I had to pick up trash, pick plastic from compost, metal out of the trash hill and the gross list goes on.
  • My worst summer job was working at Chuck E cheese's especially being young and a big partier of the time and being hungover having to wear the Chucky costume. Also, kids are mean To Chucky ha ha.
  • I was 13 and had a job babysitting 2 kids for the summer. The creepy dad "worked" from home. He would sit at the kitchen table all day and watch me, watch the kids while in his underwear. Tighty whiteys at that. I'm still wounded from that. Gross!
  • Mucking stalls for a show barn was my worse summer job!! $70,000+ horses who were very moody...got kicked a few times AND the owners are RUDE
  • Working at an amusement park is the worst job ever! Had to stand at the top of the log ride for 12+ hours without a bathroom break, no shade, not allowed to wear white sunglasses and no free entry to the park!
