So, Fish and I were talking about our parents the other day and what a great marriage they had and how they always did such nice things for each other.  Then we tried to compare our marriages to our parents marriages thinking about the nice things our spouses have done for us.  So, of course we decided to make it a text question of the day.

TEXT QUESTION OF THE DAY:
What’s the nicest thing your spouse has ever done for you?

  • She said yes 22 years ago tomorrow
  • My husband took on two children that were not his zone one of which is my daughter who is disabled in a wheelchair to bed and nonverbal. And he has been a stay-at-home dad for her for the last 12 years, I couldn't ask for a better man in her life Or in hours. He is the best man ever
  • My husband and I work in an industry with only like 15% women professionals. My husband is industry famous (has like a Wikipedia page, his work is in museums, he speaks around the world). But I run the company. He introduces himself as my husband at industry events where I am being featured/honored/was invited. It's small-but the respect he has for my work is so humbling and gracious.
  • There are so many, but the one that touched me the most. Often times after chemo I would sick and he would hold my hair and rub my back while I was throwing up.

  • He gave me a hot air balloon ride for Christmas one year.
  • My husband surprised me for my 23rd birthday by paying for my parents to come to America from Italy, I hadn't seem them in over 9 years because they didn't have the money and I wasn't allowed back into the country because of my sexual orientation

  • Nicest thing all of my exes have done for me is cheat on me because I always end up working harder on myself and dayummm! If I get any hotter, I'm going to melt
  • This is simple but the nicest thing my husband has ever done was volunteer to get up with our son every bought when he was a newborn. He knew how hard it is for me when I don't sleep and even though he was commuting an hour every day he still got up a huge majority of the time. Ladies, get you a man like that!

  • The best thing my husband has done for me, well first it's hard to choose since I feel so lucky for such an amazing husband but the first one that comes to mind is how calm and level headed he was when I went into labor for our son he knew just what to say to me to keep me calm and help me through without panicking as I was hooked up for an emergency c section he is strong, level headed and the perfect match for me:)
  • Text question: I was being a total 'witch' for like a week, don't remember why- no not PMS, and he woke up early that Saturday, was super quiet, and brought me homemade breakfast in bed. Pancakes, eggs, toast, fruit...the whole nine. I cried because I really didn't feel like I deserved it, and definitely snapped me out of my funk. He even cleaned the kitchen afterward!
  • After failing a calculus test, my wife surprised me when she picked me up immediately after with a cubs hat and tickets for the next day.
  • When I was super stressed, my husband and I showered together and he gave me a scalp massage and washed my hair. No hanky-panky, but it was such a loving and gentle act

Both of them passed within six months of each other.
