It looks as if we will be starting off our week with snow and ice on the ground. The National Weather Service, out of Grand Rapids, has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for West Michigan until 9 a.m. Monday.

Beginning Sunday evening, and into the night, West Michigan is expected to get hit with a wintery mix, including freezing rain plus one to four inches of snow. While the snow is supposed to end by the morning, it can still mean icy and slick roads on during your morning commute.

Obviously, this can affect your drive time so plan ahead and make sure to be cautious while driving. MDOT has a list of winter driving tips you can check out here.

On the bright side, after below zero temperatures last week, it will be getting warmer around the state! Temps will be in the mid 30's and low 40's... even reaching 47 on Thursday in Grand Rapids! And then of course we'll go back to freezing our butts off by the weekend ;-)

Drive safely!
