On Monday WZZM 13 Chief Meteorologist Geroge Lessens was seated next to long-time news anchor Juliet Dragos and Alana Holland when he shared that he would be retiring at the end of the year.

George Lessons Recognised For His Work

On January 31st of this year Chief Meteorologist George Lessens was a recipient of the Charles L. Mitchell Award for Outstanding Service by a Forecaster from the American Meteorological Society.

George Lessens Has Been On Air In West Michigan For Over 40 Years

George Lessens began his career at 13 ON YOUR SIDE in 1980 as a weekend meteorologist.

From 1985 through 1991, he anchored weekday morning weathercasts before returning to the 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. weekend newscasts.
